Kerry Washington stopped by The View to promote her memoir Thicker Than Water and she sported a slightly jazzed-up Chanel-inspired classic for the occasion. There will be a minor scrolldown surprise or two.
Surprise #1: That is not a classic Chanel tweed suit. Surprise #2: It looks surprisingly great with knee-high boots. Of course it helps tremendously that those boots are drop-dead fabulous. As for the dress, it’s kind of underwhelming as a design. While we can understand wanting to work a look that feels a little more modern and youthful than the classic Chanel-style suit, we don’t think that tweed lends itself to a mini-dress design. It just looks bulky and heavy. In semi-related news, we hate the headband. It just doesn’t go with the look.
