Sleek, low-key dramatic, with a smart vibe and a natural poise built into the look + easy to work, because you’ve learned a few lessons over the years. Could she get out there in something drop-dead hot and jaw-droppingly glamorous and cutting-edge trendy? Absolutely. But she doesn’t want to.

This is a really odd dress that is absolutely perfect for her. We’re not convinced on the metallic pumps, though.

Girlfriend came to PARTY. To be honest, we’d much rather the after-party fashions were more along this line. Not that anyone needs to feel obligated to wear a mesh mini-dress, but more of a party feel in the fashion would help set the VF party apart from the seriousness of the Oscars ceremony and give designers and stylists more leeway to show off their goods.

We’re usually not huge fans of the public bra, but that an $18,000 gold mesh Tiffany bra. It’s more jewelry than garment. And we can’t even begin to attempt the argument that she doesn’t look uniquely amazing in it.
